青龙峡是集青山、绿水、古长城于一体的国家AAAA级景区、国家水利风景区，位于北京市怀柔区怀北镇的古长城关口。青龙峡景区占地150公顷，南北狭长10余华里，宽30~50米，两侧山脉蜿蜒曲折，山势雄伟，植被茂密，原始古貌的万里长城犹如巨龙环卧在奇峰峻岭之颠，幽深的山涧峡谷，山花绚烂，碧水潺潺。

由青龙桥至峡区最北部，设有多种游乐项目，可满足不同年龄、不同爱好者的需要：青龙桥内的玉龙池，是设有浅水和深水游泳区的天然泳池，泳池一侧是嶙峋的峭壁悬岩，但水面平稳，可谓有惊无险。沿玉龙池逆流而上，过“涧伏青龙”，进入坝前水上游乐区，主要有竹排戏水区、独木舟戏水区、坝前观瀑区、吊桥、坝前垂钓区等。“林中木屋”、“娱乐餐厅”位于戏水区一侧，可满足游人住宿、进餐等需要。
